Watch "I apologise to the whole Ukrainian nation" - former Russian army officer"

<Comment deleted by user>
Like for real? that a false apology to escape the hideous Ukrainians who tortured him into to resignation from russian army. that is not worth an apology but jail time. Also before you go posting shit like this make sure it doe's not violate terms of service of things relating to torture or killing prisoners of war.
@lichess Thread is inopriate and refers to the topic of political and tortue... I request this to be closed immediately...

Man, are you going to demand the closure of every thread where there is some unpleasant info for putin fans?

Here you are of course right. But for some reason I thought that this guy would give some exclusive interviews. I looked for and found:
www.theguardian.com/world/2023/feb/02/former-russian-soldier-reveals-witnessed-torture-ukrainian-prisoners-war

Here is a brief story of this military man (as I understood it):
Senior Lieutenant, platoon commander. He entered Ukraine from Crimea.
In May last year, he quit the army (I suppose - in connection with the expiration of the contract).
In September, mobilization was announced, and he was an ideal candidate - a young officer with combat experience.
In order not to get back to the war, he turned to the Russian human rights organization that helped him get out of Russia in December last year.

As everyone knows, after the announcement of mobilization in Russia, tens of thousands of men left the country. Moreover, without any help from human rights activists. But our hero needed help. This is a muddy moment in his history.
He is not saying something.

For Fans of conspiracyology.
In February 2024, Russian troops very quickly advanced along the coast of the Black Sea and captured Kherson. In Ukrainian publics there were many theories on the topic: who has de -energized the huge mine barriers that covered Ukraine from the Crimea.
By the way, our hero is the commander of the Demining platoon. His unit was transferred to Crimea shortly before the start of the war - supposedly for conducting exercises. Maybe he apologizes to Ukraine for the actions of his platoon at the very beginning of the war?

In general, this topic, torture of prisoners, was already rising in the media:

I'm neither a mod nor an admin, but I think I can help explain why your request won't be fulfilled (barring new developments).

Firstly, there is no ban on discussion of politics on lichess. Similarly, there is no ban on the discussion of torture on lichess.
Thirdly, there is nothing inappropriate about this thread. In fact, a trigger warning was issued, which means that the poster went above and beyond to prevent people from being offended.

Lichess is not affiliated with the state of Russia. It is an international chess website with an international group of users. If you wish to be shielded from the global outrage from Russia's military actions, I suggest you find an official Russian chess site (I'm sure one exists).

Otherwise, please be respectful to those wishing to share information via the forums.

I don't know what has to happen for putin's fans so they understand that Russia is now waging an aggressive and criminal war.

You see how the Russians destroy dozens of cities, how they destroy civilian infrastructure, how they kill civilians and torture them. How they are involved in record looting. It all happens en masse, it's all recorded and documented.
And you continue to look for excuses for all these crimes.

It's simultaneously simple and "blindly" impossible, I had a number of such talks with z-people. Simple - all what is required is calm free discussion during multiple days and multiple hours with person who have common sense, good reasoning, who knows both pro-ru and pro-uk points of view and 2-3 languages. Also this person must know how indoctrination works and which tools it operates.
Most of ruzzians 15 years ago were same as Ukrainians, but completely misleaded to do most evil thoughts\things known. Not first time in history this happens, not in first country. They could be returned, but ruzzian government does and will do everything possible to prevent this.
Such attempts already will lead to 10+ years in jail in Russia. As simple as that.
Unless proper things are done by people around world (and nobody is doing them already year), such discussions will not happen.

By the way, all humans are ridicusly weak to propaganda. I see French youtube was attacked by fake paid trolls and easily lost. Polish media currently attacked by ruzzian propaganda signature "It's not my concern" = "It's not you war". Most of lichess discussions have no focus, lack of common sense, lack of statement proofs and so on.
Practically everyone falls for two common instruments of propaganda:
1) Spamming discussions, disfocusing them
2) Or question: when asked if forged option1 or forged option2 very rarely people search for correct option 3.
And dozens more.
