Losing games during restart without notification

Just lost a game due to a lichess restart.
The unfortunate thing about it, was that I did not get any notification when the restart happened.
Instead I was shown the usual game screen with my opponents time running out. When it reached 0 nothing happened, when I refreshed the page, it was counted as a loss for me without any additional message.

This is obviously rather frustrating, since you wait for several minutes, already annoyed that your opponent "let run out their time" only to figure out that you lost by force.

I think there should be a notification right before a restart(regardless of "zen mode"), to avoid this kind of experience.
@for_cryingout_loud thanks for your reply, but this is not helpful, since my point is not that one should get a rating refund, nor do I criticize the mechanism of how game times are handled technically.

I just think there should be a notification right before the restart, so one can act accordingly in time.
I know about these, but in fact I missed it while playing in "zen mode". But still not what I am referring to.
Again, I think it would be sensible, that right before(!) the restart there is a special notification, that informs about the restart and possible repercussions.
@username_lc idk about zen mode but a thing saying restart for 15min before should be enough warning maybe if you click it. it will explain but a pop up wont help if i got 3 seconds left on the clock and loose because of it. Also lichess needs to try make restart work better on all browsers but that is not an easy task
I also do not know if the warning is displayed while in "zen mode", I'll try to check that in the future.

But if you got 3 seconds left it is not "right before" so I still think what I suggested would be useful, since by that time, if occurs what occurred to me today, you may likely have lost the game. But in that case you'll consider the option that your opponent is not letting the time run out.
Of course it would be nice if such problems were not existent("restart work better"), but as you pointed out this is not trivial.
Hence I think an info message wouldn't be such a bad thing.
