Lichess Opening Explorer. Must have feature.

#5
I like an idea about public and private notes, that players can write on any position. Stronger players could give their evaluation, recommend a move.

I do not trust much computer in the opening phase. I'd rather choose a move played by a strong GM, rather than computer suggested moves.

And links to videos where this particular position had happened would be useful too, for someone who want to examine deeper.
Right now it is impossible to research lichess games.

You cannot download high rated games any more as a bulk PGN.

Even if game download is beyond repair, an opening database of lichess games filterable by rating would be very instructive.

I'm not interested in master game databases, since you can find those all over the place. I think this would be little gain for the pain.
Good work, developers!

Great tool!

Thanks a million!

You can see now that
1. d5 is strongest in horde, and
1. Nf3 f6 2. Nc3 is strongest in atomic
openings that I had intuitively choose to play appears to be best.
Interesting that at very high level ( >2500 ) 1. e3 seems good in atomic. Just as good as 1. Nh3. At this level 1. Nf3 is even worse.

You can always argue however that these games are being played by a handful of players, whose personal style has an imprint on the results.

This is why this new explorer is great, now after all we can talk about facts not just impressions!
Impressive new feature!! thanks to Lichess and its contributors.
Beautiful feature! Thank you developers!
The question: now it allows me to see only several master games from a certain position, is it possible to see the list of all the games from database from this position?
Impressive, indeed. Thanks.

But why not include correspondence games?
Amazing, thank you! Lichess was already the best chess platform in the world, now it's likely one of the best in the galaxy.
