Have you ever timed out in classical

I just timed out in a winning position. I gave a lot of checks to gain time but to my surprise it still ran out.
Yeah my enemy once blundered a piece early on so he didn't move till his clock ran out. It was a great game I was up 26 minutes.
Once my opponent timed out in a game with 2 hrs/40 moves + 15 mins for the rest. But I had 2 pawns on the a- and b-file against his lonesome king with my king close to my pawns, so I think, I would have won it anyway. :-)

Another time my opponent blundered with less than 2 minutes on his clock ... this was 2 hrs/40 moves + 1 hr for the rest. He sacrified a rook in move 37 and recognized in move 38 that his combination did not work ... in his position, I would have moved anything to get the 40th move done, but he decided to go full risk ...
I nearly timed out in an OTB game with 40 moves/2 hrs because I did not watch the clock properly. When I finally looked at the clock I had only seconds left and fortunately got my move done juuust in time.

Would have been a real bummer if I had messed that up as it was a team fight and I had a winning position which we needed for our team to win.
The only time I ever lost on time OTB in a won position...I was a piece up and just froze. :(
I have lost games 30+30 or even 45+30 because of the flag or blundering due to the the need to move quickly
