Avoiding checkmate thanks to badly implemented chess rules :D

How can u draw one move before checkmate? Just wait till your time runs out ... lol

so when u play game where u have like 2hrs each in the end and than ur opponents waits those 2 hrs to get a draw dont be angry ... and dont even try to go doing something else as he may play and you may lose because of it :D

i think you are wrong, because of the Fide Rule 6.9 :

"However, the game is drawn, if the position is such that the opponent cannot checkmate the player’s king by any possible series of legal moves."

Checkmate can occur in this position, so its not drawn. Simply show this the arbiter and he will give you the win.

I think @artykom is talking about the fact that lichess automatically adjudicates this as a draw. If they know a better way to do it, though, I'm sure the lichess devs will at least take it into consideration.
This is a very rare issue and very complicated to solve. Imo it might not be worth it.

5 - man - tablebase are already implemented here, so it is not very difficult to solve (just a lookup in the tablebase shows that a win is possible), but such position are so rare it is maybe still not worth the work.
