I made this cool opening trainer app. Felt like sharing it

<Comment deleted by user>
I built an app to help me train my repertoire. In a nutshell it allows you to

- Record your favorite opening moves (one by one, or by uploading a PGN file)
- Train against a bot. The bot will only play critical lines that are recorded in your db, and force you to follow your own repertoire
- Scan your lichess games, and find games where you deviated from your repertoire. Unlike an engine check, this will make sure you play your repertoire, and not the "top computer move"
- Review any positions you failed to play correctly (according to your repertoire), and train against them again
- Warn you against new lines you faced, that aren't covered by you repertoire

It was initially just for me so it's still a bit rough, and requires a signup (each user gets their own repertoire, obviously), but I think it's still worth sharing

Website can be found here: lecahier.net

Feel free to give it a try or use it if you want.
Enjoy !
Very useful ! It's a great help to memorize your repertoire !
And the lichess scanner to compare the repertoire with your own games is something that didn't exist yet I believe !

I don't want to be warned about new lines. I want to be warned about people playing old lines.
it's "new" as in "you faced it, yet it's not covered by your repertoire". Could be an old or a new line but the point is that you didn't record any move against it, and you probably should :)

That's a way to make sure your repertoire actually covers what you are facing on a daily basis
I will try it - but can you keep my repertoire a secret? :-)
ok so

1 in Explore I suppose you should see your repertoire , which I don’t.
2. if you accidently record 1e3 instead of 1e4 you should be able to delete it - and verify in explore that it is deleted
3 I got the same countermove 4 times in a row. Thus only testing one and the same line all the time,

Yes, absolutely. The security is pretty strong and the app is designed so that a user can only see their own moves, nothing else (which is why it's empty when you signup, and also why you must signup before using it)

Unfortunatly I can't share screenshots here :/
However
1. Yes you should. Did you record some moves first ? If yes, then explore should show you "Book moves" on the top-right, and your comments at bottom-right if you put some. Note that flipping the board may hide some moves. When looking at the board from white side and starting position, you should see your own repertoire moves (ideally you have only one). When looking at the board from black side and starting position: what you see is the possible opponent moves you recorded (typically e4, d4, c4... depends on what you recorded)

2. The UI for it sucks but it's there: from the "Record moves" page, there is a trash icon and switch at the top-right. Enabling the switch goes into "delete mode", where you can click on moves in order to delete them. Without this switch, clicking on a move just plays it on the board

3. The trainer picks random moves amongst what you recorded. If you only entered one line, then it can only train against one line. It gets better with more data. Also, if you clicked from a specific position on "train from here", then the training session will always start from this very position. This is useful to grind a specific position (tournament prep for instance)
