A New Variant

Hate to say this but there is already a huge number of variants (hundreds). A few can be found on www.Brainking.com. If it involves another unique piece it strays into the realm of fairy chess. Some of my faves are Xiangqi (Chinese Chess); Grand Chess has 10x10 board and 2 extra pieces, a marshal and a cardinal; Cylinder chess where the a and h files connect to wrap around.
I hate to discourage your imagination but it would be a stretch to come up with something unique. So post your idea anyway it can be fun to try.
I have the variant. It has not been invented yet and it is called
Mate the Bishop! This variant is similar to Knightmate, but instead of replacing the king with a knight, it is replaced by a Bishop. Instead of replacing the knights with kings, you replace the bishops with kings.

You can also sacrifice pieces to get captured pieces back. For example:
Queen=8 pawns/1 Rook and 3 pawns/1 Rook and 1 Knight/2 Knights and 2 pawns/1 Knight and 5 pawns
Rook=5 pawns/1 Knight and 2 pawns
Knight=3 pawns
1 pawn=1 King

You can only use each of these exchanges once. All of them are reversible.

I have checked many times, and no one has invented it. Too bad I can't copyright it. :(
questions:
when you sacrifice a queen where do you place e.g. the 8 pawns?
when you change e.g. one rook and one knight into a queen, where do you place it?
I assume it's the bishop to be mated, isn't it?
1. You would sacrifice your queen for 8 pawns in the endgame so you can promote one or more of the pawns to a queen.

2. You place the pieces on their starting positions. So if I sacrificed my Knight and Rook and I was white, the queen would go on d1. If that square was occupied, then it goes on e1. If not, c1, then d2, then e2, then c2.

3. And yes, you have to mate the bishop.
Let's get down to business. Are your variants coded in a way that can eventually be merged with Lichess? I would really appreciate it if you checked in with our guys real quickly because I am seeing many possibilities for us to work with here. Please give me a follow and let me know what I can do for you and your design. Thanks!
