Video Library - TL:DR

Some background story. If you don't feel like reading a lot, turn back now.

Thanks for staying. 30 years ago, I was playing chess 1-3 games a day. Some days I would binge, skip lunch play more. I had a computer with a very good chess program. In the game was a tab called History of Chess. There you could view games from the 19th century and early 20th century, all the way up to about 1950's. After a while, I improved to a solid 1200+, later I maxed out at about 1450.
Life changes, this and that, chess took a back seat. Chess is perishable. You don't play, you lose it, chess atrophy. Now at 54, I'd like to play people but I'm kinda afraid too because you will see 1500 because I have not played anyone. I have not mastered 1-8 AI playing the computer, Firmly entrenched in 2/8. I guess my rating somewhere between 400-700.
Also, I'm not used to playing with a clock so I prefer lots of time 10-15 minutes. You speed demons play with 60 seconds that's crazy fast, no way I can do that.
Anyone want to help? Looking for a few players to add to my friends list, play some games and chat about what I could have done better. Don't razz me too hard. Let's have fun but I want to learn too. :)

And you shouldn't, it's not going to help you to improve.

P.S.: Not sure what any of this has to do with a Video Library ( lichess.org/video ), which is coincidentally is the place you might want to check out.
Just a little piece of advice : stop playing as soon as possible against the computer.

This is your last game at the moment I'm writing and at move 14, the computer can take a decisive lead with Nf4.
Instead, he goes for Nc3 and gives away the piece for absolutely no reason but to respect its programed strength (SF level 2).

Just play some rapid or classical games against the lobby, you can activate zen mode the reduce the pressure (no rating no communication) and just focus on pleasure and understanding. It might sounds excessive but I would consider you're losing maybe 80% of your time when facing the computer.

I only recommand to play against Stockfish on blind mode to improve the blind skills but that's not your war yet :p
If you play from the quick pairing pool, no one will see your 1500 until it's too late.
