I want to become a titled player

#10
Lazlo Polgar was a professional pedagogue and he claimed before his experiment i.e. before his daughters were born.
Originally he thought it would work only with boys, but he... got three daughters, so he did his experiment anyway.
A genius refers to a mental activity i.e. he thought of chess, mathematics, and classical music.
Ability to concentrate can and should be trained.
Of course you will not jump above 2 m if you are but 1.5 m tall, you will not lift 100 kg if you weigh 50 kg.
Also he was ideologically against idea that mental capacity being inherited feature. Which is also not true. everyone can learn maths but there will be limits due to innate abilities no matter how hard one tries. Though better part of population does not reach their limit

Given that about 1-2% of players reach chess master title out of those who participate on tournaments it seems pretty difficult. so most people woudl fail event if they triedt to. Not that it is possible to measure as finding sufficient amount people willing to put 1-5 hours a day to serious study is almost impossible as well.
@TheMotelyFool I would advise you to start thinking more carefully about how you spend your "chess time". For example, I just skim-read your profile and found this from last week:

Competed in 8 tournaments
Ranked #73 (top 33%) with 15 games in Hourly UltraBullet Arena
Ranked #43 (top 39%) with 7 games in Hourly UltraBullet Arena
Ranked #58 (top 56%) with 12 games in Hourly UltraBullet Arena
Ranked #66 (top 64%) with 6 games in Hourly UltraBullet Arena
Ranked #280 (top 67%) with 5 games in Daily UltraBullet Arena
Ranked #123 (top 71%) with 5 games in Hourly HyperBullet Arena
Ranked #139 (top 76%) with 2 games in Hourly HyperBullet Arena
Ranked #150 (top 79%) with 3 games in Hourly UltraBullet Arena

This isn't going to make you any better!
I played and trained with several IMs over a long time - none of them I would classify as a genius. It is of course possible to achieve IM if you work hard for most people. The main obstacle for most players is to constantly focus on chess and train effeciently. Polgar was right - most can be achieved in chess with hard training. Of course a bit of talent helps but IM is a title that can be achieved with a pretty normal IQ. It is a myth that IQ is based mostly on genetics and not on training / schooling as well.
As someone who is considering progressing farther and taking the game seriously but struggles with motivation: Why does the OP want to become a titled player? What happens once that goal is attained? Where does he go from there? That's the thing that gets to me about Chess: Look at the time, work, energy, blood, sweat, and tears it takes to get legitimately good. And for what in the end? To simply score a few ego points off someone else when you play them? I don't entirely understand where some of you get the drive and desire to win these games.
I would also argue that true genius would question exactly what I'm questioning. There's no way someone with a 180 IQ wouldn't begin questioning the point of this pursuit pretty quickly.
Actually I wanted to become an IM in the long run but all I got is this lousy CM...
IQ is imortant but also they need excellent memory to become IMs. They can repeat a game they played half a year ago including opponent's moves. Carlsen can play on several chessboards at the same time blindfold. Now that is memory!
