Option 2
Fischer
Tal
Kasparov

Its tough to pick myself. Both teams are incredibly strong in different ways.

Option 2. :)

Fischer beat Petrosian and Kasparov beat Karpov, so if Carlsen beat Tal it is 2-1 for team 2.

Just for information ,they played 144 games, and here are the results :
Kasparov 22 wins, Karpov 18 wins, 104 draw.

Btw, i also choose team 2 cuz Bobby Fisher Fanboy :D

@NOTFOXAnonymous if you subtract their first, unfinished match it gets more pronounced.

if you replace petrosian for ivanchuk i might choose option 1

@tpr the unfisnished match was 5-3 for karpov or 5-4 i dont remember well.
But why should we substract those games ???
And even so, it's not really "more pronounced" :D.

Option 2. I would rather take players with a more aggressive style.
