If you could change the one rule of chess, what would it be?

#40
Agreed draws, insufficient material, repeated position would still be draws. Perhaps some more that I cannot remember...

The one thing that would change is the art of the draw. That would disappear completely. A player who was in a stalemate position would be forced to move into check on the next move and lose the king.

This will probably be important: KNNvK and KPvK are forced wins as long as the stronger side can avoid losing any pieces.
Yes, the classic KPvK stalemate would nolonger happen since the weaker side would have to move the king on the 8th rank out onto the 7th rank where the stronger side's king would capture it.

Generally any situation where a stalemate can be forced would become a win.
King can move everywhere he wishes that has not been occupied by pieces. Yes, even on top of your head.

It should be a case of showing proper respect to one's opponent with a genuine handshake.
Magnus seems to shake hands decently.

Warning: Only playing one color can lead to a play ban. /j

Remove the agreed draw rule and make perpetual check/chase losses for the side perpetually checking/chasing.
