annoying disconnections

i'm on an unstable internet connection, and sometime i disconnect for a minute or two. but it shows that i left to game to my opponent.

i hate it when they claim a victory, especially when i play them all the time and it's obvious that i'm not in a bad position or anything.

incidentally, i'm not afraid to resign in a losing position, points don't matter to me, it's just a game.

but it's a cheap way to get points, don't you think?

how do you prevent this? maybe institute a bigger margin for temporary disconnections and don't let the option appear for you to claim victory so soon?

Is the your whole connection to the internet dodgy or just to websites or Lichess? The reason I'm asking is one of the lads I play with regularly had a similar problem but by changing the vpn he was using he was able to avoid the 'hop' or server that kept dropping the connection.

i don't know, but sometimes i'm on a satellite conexion, and sometimes i know it's my ISP because nothing works. but good to know about the VPN issue.
