what is a go server ???

shivanis2006, Go is a traditional board game that is popular in east Asia (China, Korea and Japan in particular). It is also known as 'igo' and 'weiqi'.

Note that Go is not a game in the chess family (like shogi and xiangqi), though many chess players like Go as it also has no element of luck and other attributes similar to chess.

Although, just like lichess, it seems to be an underdog. I wish there were a way to promote both online-go.com and lichess.org

Could lichess loan their designer to online-go? ;-) lichess's UI is just brilliantly clean and simple. online-go is definite a HUGE positive step toward not needing to download a clunky client. Thank you for all the work!

there are others like pandanet-igs.com or http://www.wbaduk.com/ ( baduk being the korean name for go)
